Quinta Rufino is a Bed and Breakfast situated in a beautiful residential area in the city of Mendoza. Run by three owners with a young and entrepreneurial spirit Quinta Rufino provides a welcoming, peaceful environment for a pleasant and memorable stay. The unique architecture, which dates back to 1920, is a proud part of the history of Mendoza and we are always working to maintain and preserve the original structure.

Quinta Rufino has both private and shared rooms, providing comfort and security. We are able to accommodate between 1 and 5 people per room which all enjoy their original colonial design, including beautiful hardwood floors, yet with modern decor, inspired by the many artists who have stayed and worked at this Bed and Breakfast during its eight year existence. We are committed to developing and improving national and international tourism in the Province of Mendoza.

More about Mendoza

Mendoza is located in central western Argentina at the foot of the highest mountain range of the Americas, the Andes.

The climate of Mendoza is temperate and arid. The omnipresent sun is beneficial to agriculture as well as the visitor.

These conditions, with the existence of rivers of glacial runoff, have made this desert landscape possible to convert into an oasis of productivity through the hard work and dreams of its people.

Urban Mendoza has been built in the shade of tree-lined streets that give Mendoza its forest like feel.

These ancient trees give much needed shade and color to the city irrigated by the century old system of unique canals that the Huarpe people and later Criollos and immigrants kept alive.

Today Mendoza has all of the amenities of any modern city. A broad spectrum of commercial and recreational offerings as well as lodging from one to five stars, apart-hotels, hostels, cabins, and camping in every corner of the province.

On offer are casinos, night clubs, theaters, museums, wine bars, pubs, artistic and cultural events, wide ranging gastronomic options, and regional specialties to keep you entertained.

Furthermore some towns in the Andes mountains have installations specifically to host conventions and fairs, where it is possible to combine both work and pleasure.

Mendoza is the wine centre of South America , and as such produces and exports wine to several countries, especially its distinctive variety, Malbec. It is also a major producer of Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, Tempranillo, Merlot, Chardonnay, Semillon, Chenin and Bonarda.

During trips through the wine regions, you’ll see that Mendoza epitomises the words "good life", with its wines tasted in a relaxed and friendly environment, with a picturesque view of the mountains and vineyards.

In Mendoza’s countryside you’ll find aromas of grapes, cherries and peaches plus a wide range of vegetables and wild fruits. Your senses will be drunk with the pulsating rhythm of wine and olive oil tastings and the warmth of the land will stay in your heart forever.

From the imposing guardianship of the 6,962m Aconcagua Mountain, the highest in the Southern Hemisphere, Mendoza basks in the majesty of its geographical situation. Mountains of eternal snow, tumultuous river valleys, plains and deserts of quiet magic, lavish oases, landscapes of wonder and activities for everyone.

Mendoza also boasts winter sports centres of international quality, exceptional water sports, adventure tourism and sport fishing. The promise of this land is abounding and Mendoza enjoys it all year.
